Design

Since its establishment the company has completed design of more than 90 power electric projects from 0,4 kV to 500 kV in Bulgaria, Algeria, Armenia, Georgia, UAE, Uzbekistan, Burkina Faso, Namibia and the Netherlands. Most of the HV projects . are complete design - primary and secondary connection, civil constructions part and architectural and construction design of the control buildings. Part “Primary connections” includes complete design of switchyards , ,. lightning, grounding and lighting installations and civil design assignment to civil constructions designers, Part “Civil constructions” includes complete design of support structures, foundations, calculations and detail drawings for manufacturing of structures, including their dimensioning and detail drawings for the manufacture and installation of the structures. Part “Secondary connections” includes logic and block diagrams representing the concept of measuring, control, interlockings and relay protections, detailed circuit diagrams of all systems, wiring tables,, cable lists and panel layouts. Design of control buildings and remaining infrastructure include all necessary parts as “Architecture”,, “Structural”,, water supply, HVAC, "Health and safety", etc. The large projects of renewable energy power plants (photovoltaic and wind farms) include the design of extensive medium voltage cable grids. These designs involve selecting the optimal voltage level, selection of cable routes, cable sizing, calculation of short-circuit currents in all nodes, calculation of the reactive energy generated from the grid and dimensioning of the necessary compensation facilities. Specialized CAD software is used for all design parts. The main CAD tools are AutoCAD and compatible alternative tools. Schematics in "Secondary connections” part are designed by ELCAD or Engineering Base. MS Office is used for text documents and other documentation. Dimensioning and analyzes of LV grids is made by specialized tools DOC by ABB, EcoStruxure by Schneider Electric, SIMARIS by Siemens and others. Modeling and analysis of medium voltage is performed with Digsilent Power Factory. DIALux is used to design lighting installations.
